The Senior Band playing Jurassic Park by John Williams, arranged for brass band by Alan Catherall. A classic piece that’s been in the LMB repertoire since the band started, as we expect is the same for most bands. The soaring majesty and quiet, building tension of Jurassic Park is a favourite for some, an eye roller for others but in this instance a lovely band glue during the lockdown in April-June 2020.

The Beginners’ Band playing Star Lake by Major Eric Ball.

The Beginners’ Band had never played Star Lake before the Covid-19 lockdown interrupted their regular Monday evening rehearsals, but several members learned the tune and recorded themselves at home on whatever devices they had to hand!
